How I Work

Professional Affiliation

As an Accredited Registrant of the National Counselling Society (NCS), I adhere to their ethical framework so you can feel confident that my qualifications and practice are client-centred, supervised and safe.  I am also an Individual Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I regularly undertake extra training and I also attend regular supervision with a senior practitioner to support me in giving clients the best possible service.

How to Get Started

The relationship between counsellor and client is especially important in order for us to be able to effectively work together. With this in mind I offer a free 15-minute telephone or video call during which you can give me brief details of why you are seeking counselling and ask me any questions you may have. If we agree to working together, we can then book an initial session in which we can explore your reasons for seeking counselling and how you would like counselling to help you.

What Happens Next

All sessions are 50 minutes in length. Sessions will ideally be held weekly on the same day and time.

I offer daytime sessions Monday to Friday and some evening sessions.  I work face to face and remotely.

I am also able to offer Walk and Talk sessions during daylight hours (taking the session outside) by special arrangement.

I currently offer both long and short term therapy.
